The light of the polar star
From the bar igloo, the first stars already twinkle and guide you to the event igloo. The Sámi have a strong connection to astrology due to their connection to nature and the proximity to the polar night. The constellations closest to them are those of the celestial hunt.
The Sami constellation also includes the reindeer bull, which is the target of a hunting party: the hunter Favdna aims his bow at the animal. The Sons, who are in Orion's belt, stand by Favdna's side, supported by other hunters who are in Procyon, Vega, Castor and Pollux. However, the hunt is unsuccessful because the Polaris stands in the way of killing the Bull. Because if this would be hit, the world would end.
The Big Dipper, also called Sky Dipper, is like the mentioned hunter a part of the constellation of the Big Dipper.
In the Bar Igloo, illuminated blocks of ice recreate the constellation of stars described above. The reindeer can be seen in the center, the hunter and his comrades-in-arms to his left, and the luminous North Star in between.
The seat directly opposite the shining star formation invites you to let the play of light take effect on you and to dive into the world of Sami astrology. Or go outside with the story in mind and search the sky for the constellation. On a clear night you will quickly find it.
Das Licht des Polarsterns
Vom Bar-Iglu aus funkeln bereits die ersten Sterne und geleiten Sie zum Event-Iglu. Die Sámi haben durch ihre Verbundenheit zur Natur und die Nähe zur Polarnacht eine starke Verbindung zur Astrologie. Die Sternenbilder, die ihnen am nächsten sind, sind die der himmlischen Jagd.
In der samischen Sternen-Konstellation findet sich auch der Rentierbullen, der das Ziel einer Jagdgesellschaft ist: Der Jäger Favdna richtet seinen Bogen auf das Tier. Die Söhne, die sich im Orion-Gürtel befinden, stehen an der Seite von Favdna, unterstützt von weiteren Jägern, die sich in Procyon, Vega, Castor und Pollux befinden. Der Jagderfolg bleibt jedoch aus, weil der Polarstern dem Töten des Bullens im Weg steht. Denn würde dieser getroffen, würde die Welt untergehen.
Der Große Wagen, auch Himmelswagen genannt, ist wie der erwähnte Jäger ein Teil des Sternenbildes des Großen Bärens.
Im Bar-Iglu stellen beleuchtet Eisblöcke die oben beschriebene Sternenkonstellation nach. Zu sehen ist mittig das Rentier, zu dessen Linken der Jäger und seine Mitstreiter und dazwischen der leuchtende Polarstern.
Die Sitzgelegenheit direkt gegenüber der leuchtenden Sternenformation lädt ein, das Lichtspiel auf sich wirken zu lassen und in die Welt der samischen Astrologie einzutauchen. Oder gehen Sie mit der Geschichte im Kopf nach draußen und suchen am Himmel nach dem Sternenbild. In klaren Nächten werden Sie schnell fündig.
